A new spin on a classic tale. I love Prince and a good story. This idea came to me one day to do a mashup of Prince and the Frog Prince. I started sketching some frog studies and Prince studies. Then I started some sketches for the illustration and a color study. The original painting was done with acrylic and colored pencil on illustration board. I was not 100% happy with the final result a good friend said he looked more like a lizard than a frog. So I scanned the original illustration into Photoshop and then began to do some digital painting on top to make it feel more like a frog. I then pushed the illustration and lighting a bit further.
