The Quest:
The Children’s Department at Radiant Church wrote a series called Captain Moe & The Quest for Ten Treasures. It was a pirate-based series used to teach kids about the Ten Commandments. I was responsible for branding the series and creating artwork to go with it. They wanted the series to be illustrated in a style very similar to Disney’s Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

Series Art:
For this series, I needed to create 5 characters with moving parts and various facial expressions, that would be given to a motion graphics artist to animate. I did illustrations of Captain Moe, the first mate, a pirate girl, a parrot, and a talking treasure chest. The characters and background were created in Photoshop using a Wacom Cintiq. The logo was sketched in Photoshop and then finalized in Illustrator.
