This was an incredibly fun project for me. A mother had a unique request for a whimsical, non-traditional portrait of her 1-year-old that would grow with her child. The goal was to create the artwork in my distinctive and fun, children’s illustration style. I painted this playful portrait with the child’s preferences for bugs, birds, and vibrant colors in mind. The process included initial sketches, concept development, refining line drawings, and color composition before the final painting came to life. Take a look at the detail images below.
