The Green Man
I have always loved folklore, fantasy, and mythology. Ever since the first time I saw a Green Man at a Renaissance Festival as a kid, I have been a big fan of him.
This artwork represents life, death, rebirth, and growth. This was a perfect piece to get back into the swing of traditional oil painting after taking a break from the medium for several years.

This is one of my favorite projects I have had the honor of being a part of. I created the cover art, branding, and package design for Edge Quest. My team and I made all the visual components of the game as well. This incredibly dynamic game by Clay Castle Games is expected to hit shelves in 2026.
The Duel
Official Box Art for Edge Quest
I created this illustration as the official cover art for Edge Quest. The goal was to grab attention and to set the tone for the game by showcasing two combatants in a fantasy-style arena. It’s just a glimpse of the adventure that awaits those bold enough to play. Below is a glimpse at the process, I started with some thumbnails, moving to a finished linedrawing, and a value study before beginning the final illustration.

Huginn Ok Muninn
“Huginn and Muninn fly each day
over the spacious earth.
I fear for Hugin, that he come not back,
yet more anxious am I for Munin.”
— Grímnismál. 20 : (Translated by Benjamin Thorpe)
Ravens, Vikings, Norse Culture, Mythology, and Lore, have always held a special place in my heart. I planned and thought about this illustration for several years before I finally began the physical work of it. I decided to expand my knowledge of Norse culture and did more research on Huginn and Muninn themselves. As I read my vision for this illustration expanded and grew into what would be this final piece of art.
In Norse culture, Huginn and Muninn are Odin’s two ravens, they sit on his shoulders and whisper all that they have seen and heard in his ears. Early every morning Odin sends his ravens out. They fly the whole world and all of the nine realms gathering information and reporting everything back to Odin when they return.

Goblins are one of my favorite fantasy creatures. I adore these agents of cahoas. These are part of a side project I’m working on. My team and I are developing ideas for some of our own fantasy tabletop games.

The Lion
“
Clouds and thick darkness surround Him. His lightning lights up the skies. He swallows death, He is The Lion.
Get ready to rock with this epic face melter, a creation close to my heart! This illustration was inspired by my love for Metal and fantasy art.

Life Finds A Way
“
Life will not be contained. Life breaks free. Life expands to new territories and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, uh… well, there it is…
— Dr. Ian Malcolm: Jurassic Park 1993
I have always found space facinating, especially nebulae and all things SCIFI. One day, the idea of a Frog with a nebula behind it came to my mind, and I knew I had to paint it. This piece took on a life of its own while I was painting it. As I worked on the value study/underpainting, it showed me something new and how it wanted to be created. While working on the nebula gibblets, they started looking like tadpoles to me, so I leaned into that. I came up with the idea for the life cycle of a frog being formed out of the nebula.
As I continued to work out the concept, Dr. Ian Malcolm’s Quote came to me, and this artwork took on its true meaning. “Life uh, finds a way”

Under The Skin
“
[My skull ring] is to remind me that we’re all the same under the skin, the skull—it has nothing to do with bravado and surface bullshit. To me, the main thing about living on this planet is to know who the hell you are and to be real about it. That’s the reason I’m still alive.
— Keith Richards: Rolling Stone 1988
I was inspired to create this artwork partly because of Keith’s skull ring and his persona. I had this idea of mixing a portrait of him with a skull. As I began some research for this artwork, I stumbled across the quote above. After reading Keith’s statement to Rolling Stone about his famous skull ring, I thought, man that’s beautiful. That’s when this concept took on new meaning for me and really started to come together in my mind.

Xandrite
A subscriber asked me to sketch a baby dragon on my Twitch stream. I loved the sketch so much, I just had to finish it. I did a 2.5×3.5 mini original artist trading card, then scanned it and reworked it digitally.

Imagination and creativity are some of the most powerful abilities we possess. With this illustration I got to play and explore an alien world from my imagination.
This piece evolved from a strange little pencil sketch I did over 15 years ago and kept tucked away until the right moment. This was a great way to have some fun while taking a break between client projects and shows.
I love being able to explore strange worlds, which made this a fun exercise.

Enchanted Troubadours
This piece was inspired by our family’s love of tropical destinations and the magic of places like Costa Rica, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and the Tiki Room. My daughter requested this piece for her 13th birthday. She chose each bird with care: a happy macaw, a singing cockatoo (her favorite), and a grumpy green-and-yellow macaw. I wanted to bring her vision to life while creating a piece that captures the joy, imagination, and magic of amazing adventures.
The floating rings represent whimsy, surrealism, and have a nod to Walt Disney himself.

Wonka Land
“Come with me and you’ll be, In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you’ll see, Into your imagination…”
— Gene Wilder
Gene Wilder has always been one of my favorite actors, especially in his role as Willy Wonka. The quote above is one of my favorite quotes and one I use all the time. This movie and character are so iconic and have been an inspiration to me throughout my career. I love the idea of taking people on a journey in “the world of my creation(s)”. This artwork is my tribute to a classic and the man who truly made the role come to life.

A Midsummer
Nights's Dream
“If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber’d here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream…”
— Robin Goodfellow: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare is one of my favorite plays. I have always loved fantasy and fairy lore and wanted to capture that whimsy in this artwork. This illustration represents some of the most iconic moments in the play and is my way of honoring “The Bard”.
